Tesoro (Italian for “treasure”) is a newsletter about home, family, and all it means to belong.

I’m Jen, a UK-based writer and lifestyle journalist, wife to Will and mother of two. I’ve written for The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Saturday Telegraph, and British Vogue.

I also write the newsletter That’s beautiful!—the warmest welcome if you’ve come to Tesoro from my other Substack home! Here, I write more personal essays, and have conversations with others about motherhood, family life, faith and much more.

Jen Baden Howard, is a UK-based writer and freelance journalist. A former lifestyle columnist for The Daily Telegraph, her work has also appeared in The Telegraph Magazine, The Times, Elle, Vogue and Marie Claire, among others.

Jen edited one of the UK’s first motherhood and lifestyle blogs and hosted the first ever British parenting podcast (whilst writing for parenting glossies such as Baby London, and contributing to websites like Boden).

As well as writing Tesoro, she also writes the bestselling lifestyle newsletter, That’s beautiful! , on Substack.
