I cackled when I read about what sensible mothers wore compared to the dress you bought. Who wants to be boring like that? Not you and not me! I loved this newsletter and, of course, the picture of sweet Sofia ❤️

Sensible mothers are overrated, Jenni! Thanks for sharing your insight through story-telling - I'm enjoying them so much!

Jenni I so relate to your comment about hearing children in the playground and love the way you describe it. Also hanging out the washing! 😊 Oh I love that too - such an under rated simple pleasure. As for the cardboard towels, think of it as an exfoliator 😂 xx

Love, love, love this. Gorgeous picture of Sofia - must dig out the one I have in the same spot, from a hundred years ago, from the back - my Mum also loved 'back shots.' Your Dad is so right, they tell so much more about the situation and the space/capturing that moment in time.

Also I hear you about the washing situation, Keith being so tall has jammed our clothes line at about 6ft high and I can't reach to put the washing out. So either we have a million pound electricity bill from the tumble drier (which I prefer as yes, the towels are like cardboard if dried naturally) or I have to wait for him to put the washing out and bring it in, which rarely happens together. A total dilemma. xx
